The Daydreamer- Ian Mcewan

Well,  i just finished the first children book of Ian Mcewan. Generally, it is great ( My cousin's taste never disappoint me :P ). This book is about a 10 year old boy - Peter. He is not like normal boys. He is kind of special child who likes daydream everytime. The thing i like about this book is the author did research about the children's psychology. He knows what they think as if he's in their mind. I bet when writing this book he's like coming back to his childhood and once again being a 10 year old daydreamer.

This book has only 7 chapters. Each chapter describes Peter's imagination stories. Ian Mcewan is successful in striking into what children like and what they dislike. For instance, Peter does not like Mrs Goodgame a.k.a his neighbo, so he can daydream she is a burglar. Yes when kids dislike a particular person, they definitely imagine he/she into a monster or something terrible. Peter makes me think of my nephew. When his dad shouts at him and he murmurs to me " Dad is like a wolf".
This book is worth reading. Parents should wrap The daydreamer as a gift for their child or they can try to read it in order to way back the time and start to learn daydream again.

Graduation

Finally i graduated after 4 years of studying. It's not as fun as i think. More pressure and more stress than being a student. Life is always tough for us. How i wish to turn back the time. However, time goes by and i need to be a real young adult. Honestly, i find it hard to look for a job that i want and it's even harder when you have to face with the failure everytime you finish the interview. The disappointment when checking email and seeing nothing from the company that you applied. Furthermore, the feeling of envious when you see your friends get a job and you're still jobless. Then, you think life is unfair. It's my feeling right now. Anyway, my path is ahead and waiting for me. So i need to have a faith and do not give up. It's just all about starting, not ending. I am young, i have dreams. Sometimes life gives us a lemon, let's make a lemonade. The challenges will give me more lessons so that i can stand still and gain more experiences.
